Defense Medical Exam in NY Makes You Angry; Find Out Why

www.oginski-law.com When you claim injuries as a result of someone’s wrongdoing in New York and bring a lawsuit seeking compensation for your injuries, the defense is entitled to have you examined by a doctor of their choosing. This is known as a “Defense medical exam,” or more commonly as an “Independent Medical Exam.” However, after watching this video, you’ll quickly learn why there’s no such thing as an “Independent” medical exam. After having your physical exam by the defense doctor, he (or she) will generate a report and send it to the defense lawyer. The Defense lawyer is required to send a copy of report to your lawyer.
